Lucinda and Rob, two lovers engaged in a milk-stirred buttery love, live on a farm. Their sweet engagement getaway begins to fall into shambles as Lucinda begins to test Rob's love for her. Meanwhile, their love starts to fall apart on the day Lucinda finds her beloved quilt missing. Lucinda finds out that a Maori tribe old lady, whom she almost ran over with her car, possessing her lost quilt. Lucinda asks the woman to give the quilt back, but in return ends up leading Rob's love into temptation, with her best friend transforming into her love rival. This story of a "foolish fiancㄳ" transforms into a modern fairy tale version of 'Little Mermaid' and 'Cinderella'. 'The Price of Milk', a romance from New Zealand soaked in magical realism, is a silly but loveable comedy, which in a way reminds us of last PiFan's favorite 'Siam Sunset'.
