부천 초이스 장편심사위원단 기자회견이 15일 11시 복사골 문화센터 5층 기자회견장에서 열렸다. 이날 회견장에는 심사위원장인 <철도원>의 후루하타 야스오를 비롯 심사위원인 트로마 프로덕션의 로이드 카우프먼, 판타스포르토 국제영화제 집행위원장 마리오 도민스키, 원로 영화배우 최지희씨가 참석했다. 애초 심사위원으로 위촉된 이란의 마지드 마지디 감독은 개막 이후 비자 문제로 방한이 어렵다는 의사를 보내왔다. 이에 김홍준 집행위원장은 “영화제 진행 노하우의 부족인 듯 싶다. 그러나 처음부터 올 생각이 없었던 사람을 끼워넣은 건 아닌가 하는 오해는 말아달라”며 이해를 구했다. 마리오 도민스키는 “심사를 하는데 있어 협의의 판타지 영화냐 아니냐는 중요하지 않다. 대신 독창성, 좋은 대본, 창의성, 연기를 모두 볼 것이고 무엇보다 단순히 좋은 영화인가 아닌가가 선택의 가장 중요한 요소”라고 심사 기준을 정리했다. 로이드 카우프만은 심사기준을 묻는 질문에 답하던 도중 “‘트로마상’을 수여하겠다”는 농담인지 진담인지 모를 깜짝 발언으로 회견장을 일순간 당황하게 했다. 이에 김홍준 집행위원장은 “전혀 합의된 적이 없는 얘기이니 수상 내역과 상금을 결정해 조직위에 알려달라”고 응했다.

And please don't get the notion that we tried to fill in a spot at the last minute." Mario Dorminski said, "In judging the film, it is unimportant whether the film is a concocted fantasy or not. That would be as difficult and obscure as determining the sexuality of an angel. Instead, we?l be looking at uniqueness, creativity, and the quality of scenario and acting, The most important factor, however, is just simply whether the film is good or not."To Lloyd Kaufman's obscure and surpri-sing comment regarding 'Troma Award' Kim Hong-Joon said, "Nothing's been decided, and anything regarding awards should be forwarded to the committee.?
